You know, I cannot decide -Canon EF 28mm f/1.8 USM vs Canon EF 28mm f/2.8 USM? Camera Canon 700 D, APS-C. I plan for walk around lens. Regards. Oleg. Have owned the 28 1.8 and now the 24 f/2.8 USM (which reviews say IQ-wise is almost identical to the 28 2.8 USM).
The Sigma 14-24mm F2.8 DG DN Art is a new ultra-wide-angle zoom lens that's available for both full-frame Sony E-Mount and L-Mount mirrorless cameras from Panasonic, Sigma and Leica. It features a constant maximum aperture of f/2.8 throughout the zoom range and offers the equivalent angle of view as a 21-36mm lens when used on an APS-C camera.
has a silent focus motor built into the lens. Canon EF 50mm F/2.5 Compact Macro. Canon EF-S 24mm F/2.8 STM. Lenses with built-in focus motor focus faster and more quietly than lenses without a focus motor which rely on the camera's body focus motor. minimum focus distance.
This 24mm f/2.8 Anamorphic 1.33x Lens from Sirui, in a Canon EF-M mount, brings a wide-angle feel to your anamorphic imagery, in addition to the extra width provided by the anamorphic process. Designed for MFT/APS-C cameras with a Canon EF-M mount, the lens increases the horizontal FOV by 33% compared with traditional 24mm APS-C lenses.
The focus mechanism sounds a bit metallic especially when operated with the lens unattached to a camera, but its not louder in operation than the DT 35 f/1.8. The Minolta AF 24 F2.8 focuses much quieter and faster. The original clip-on petal hood is dinky compared to the Minolta hoods.
The 14-24mm is sharp all over at every aperture. It's a little softer at f/2.8 at 14mm in the far corner of an FX frame, but it's as insanely good at Nikon's MTF curves claim. No other ultra-wide comes close. The 14-24mm is as free from dark corners and as sharp wide-open as my 14mm AF is at f/5.6!
Although f/2.8 is not fast considering the 24's fixed focal length (many zoom lens apertures open this wide), the 24 f/2.8 is reasonably sharp wide open with increased sharpness showing when stopped down to f/5.6. Corners are relatively sharp even wide open on full frame body.
I agree, but, the Canon EF-S 24mm f2.8 STM is very simple to "mod" to EF, and it is reversible (just unscrew 2 screws and remove the rubber pad). The big question here is that it would be one of the the cheapest "35mm equiv" solution f2.0 or better: - PanaLeica 15mm f1.7: $420-$600. - Olympus 17mm f1.8: $350-$450.
Even though some of the reviews have not been extremely enthusiastic, I have no complaints. It's not the Canon EF-RF adapter. The older EF lenses all focus as well or better on the R5 with an

Our favorite macro lens for Canon cameras is the Tamron SP 90mm f/2.8 Di Macro 1:1 VC USD ($649), and our favorite low-cost prime lens is the Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM ($149.99). Design The EF-S
Though expensive, the Sony FE 12-24mm f/2.8 GM Lens is simply an outstanding lens in nearly all regards, with very impressive image quality topping the list. The 12-24mm range of ultra-wide-angles of view is able to create stand-out imagery while efficiently complementing the range found in most standard zoom lenses.
The Rokinon 24mm f/2.8 is a super light and ultra compact full frame lens for Sonyβs e-mount cameras. The Rokinon 24mm comes in at just 4.7oz (133g), and is small enough to tuck away in the pockets of my pants or jacket. At $399.99, this is one of the cheaper e-mount full frame lenses you can buy. To keep this lens light and affordable
